Seda Red Beans
How to Prepare: Sort and rinse the beans. Place them in a large pot. Add 3 cups of water for each cup (1/2 lb) of beans. Soak for 3 to 8 hours, as desired. Rinse and drain before cooking. Add 3 to 4 cups of water for each cup (1/2 lb) of already soaked beans. Season to taste, heat to boiling, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until desired tenderness. Suggestion: Beans are a natural agricultural product. Despite the use of modern processing equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Before cooking, sort beans to remove small stones or soil. Rinse under running water.
