Estate grown. Our family was the first in California to produce a varietally labeled Chardonnay made from our Wente clone. Today, many of the great Chardonnay vineyards in California are planted with the Wente clone, which originated from our family’s estate. Named for the morning fog that rolls into our estate vineyards from the San Francisco bay, this Chardonnay has crisp flavors of green apple, tropical fruit, vanilla and a touch of toasty oak. wentevineyards.com.
